An useful plugin: Broken Link Checker
About two months ago I reported some tips and suggestions by Matt Cutts on how to improve your WordPress blog in a few simple steps.
I was pretty amazed to see he doesn’t use nor suggest a very useful plugin, Broken Link Checker, which I always considered a must for the SEO.
Broken Link Checker Plugin has been developed by Janis Elsts, developer of the W-Shadow blog. It’s very easy to install and to manage and constantly updated.
The plugin informs the blog author each time an external or internal link becomes broken, allowing the administrator to update or delete the broken link. The check regards posts, pages, the blogroll, missing images and (optionally) custom fields. Each link can be edited or unlinked directly via the plugin’s page, without manually editing each post.
I strongly recommend to use it. It’s available for the download on the official WordPress Plugin Repository.
